Dry Needling (Coming Soon)

What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is a technique that uses thin, sterile needles to target tight or irritated muscles, often referred to as trigger points. These areas can develop from overuse, injury, or prolonged tension and may contribute to pain, stiffness, or limited movement. By placing a needle into these specific points, dry needling helps the muscle relax, improves blood flow, and supports the body’s natural healing process. At Abundant Life Chiropractic, dry needling will be offered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to help reduce pain and restore function.
How Dry Needling Helps
When muscles remain tight or overactive, they can affect how joints move and how the body functions overall. Dry needling works to release these areas and improve muscle performance. Dry needling may help reduce muscle tightness and trigger points, improve range of motion and flexibility, decrease pain and sensitivity, enhance muscle activation and function, and support recovery from injury or repetitive strain.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Thin needles are inserted into specific areas of muscle tightness based on your evaluation. During treatment, you may feel a quick muscle twitch or brief ache, but most patients tolerate the treatment well. Sessions are typically short and targeted. After treatment, mild soreness may occur, similar to a workout, and many patients notice improved movement shortly after.
Our Approach
At Abundant Life Chiropractic, dry needling will be used alongside spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation exercises to address both joint and muscle dysfunction. The goal is to reduce pain, improve muscle function, and help you move and feel better long-term.
